James Horner Sound Clips

Finally, the sounds that drove us to this site to begin with are here. They are psuedo-streaming (meaning, you'll hear them in real-time), and to hear them you'll need Progressive Networks' RealPlayer 4.0. Download it now for free! Set-up is a cinch.

However, you are a varied group of users, and perhaps a better method of presenting the sounds can be implimented. Please take the time to fill out a very simple survey so I can better serve this site's audience.

Want to hear something here? Send me an e-mail, and I'll see what I can do. REMEMBER: putting these files online takes time, effort, and most importantly, valuable server space. I may not be able to honor all requests or keep all files online simultaneously.

Without further ado, here are
THE SOUNDS

If you experience periodic static, slightly reduce the volume on the RealPlayer and readjust the volume of your amplifying unit (computer, speakers, hi-fi, etc.).

A Far Off Place (The Swamp)--0:49.7

Battle Beyond the Stars (Cowboy and the Jackers)--0:33.2

Legends of the Fall (The Ludlows)--1:38.6

Apollo 13 (The Launch)--1:20.8

Clear and Present Danger (The Ambush)--0:59.7

Clear and Present Danger (Main Title--Stereo)--1:01.4

Compare these two:

Alan Silvestri's The Abyss Main Title--0:32.6 (the last 2.6 seconds are clipped because RA's decoders read the fading cymbal as static, and edit it out of the transmition)

Horner's Brainstorm Main Title (Stereo)--0:42.2, written six years earlier

Field of Dreams (cue, The Place Where Drams Come True)

Field of Dreams (Clip 1--Stereo)--0:48.3

Field of Dreams ( Clip 2)--0:33.1

Field of Dreams ( Clip 3)--1:01.1
