Yes, adding those mentioned piano sections was tricky, I had to change not only the pitch but the tempo as well. At one certain point I deleted 0.1 seconds from the piano to fit even better, but it's still not perfect, and it never will be. The tempo of The Portrait is entirely faster than the tempo of My Heart Will Go On.
I couldn't have done it without your version, since I don't have 5.1 surround sound system in my own computer.
And the string sections you mentioned are really very beautiful, I completely can understand that you wanted to highlight them. It is my own taste, but I just missed the piano from that certain places. _________________ You teach me how to see all that's beautiful |

First getting into Horner was hard. I could not find any Horner music anywere except the internet. One score I do remember that had a significant influance on my life and my composition would be The Perfect Storm.
7th grade can be hard, espesially when you are in love with a girl whom you have little contact with and she thinks you are in love with someone else. One of the worst parts was that the girl that told the girl I liked that me and her were dating was a friend, but just a friend. Friendships with both girls deminished, and because almost every other guy in the school was a chick magnet and did not understand what I was going through, times were tough.
I bought the Perfect Storm CD at a wal-mart (it was the last score at the place...stupid Hannah Montana....) and listened to it. I love action music, so I was more than excited when they showed up. The main theme and the Rogue Wave cue really spoke to me. It summed up my 7th grade year in its first 7 minutes. The death sequence (when bobby is alone in the storm awaiting his death) nearly brought me to tears.
The Perfect Storm inspired my composition style for most of last year and this year. Whenever I have a depressing day at school or that girl gives me crap about liking the other girl. I just pop in my headphones or hum the theme. It is almost my favorite Horner score of all time. It is certainly the one that speaks to me the most. _________________ "It's very flattering to get nominated, and it means a lot to me.
